Space: Above and Beyond is a 1995-96 American sci-fi television series

Plot[]

to be added When aliens begin attacking human outposts, and working their way towards earth, a squadron of Marine Aviators (space, land, sea, anywhere they are needed), called the Wild Cards put everything on the line to defend their home and humankind. The show depicts the lives, feelings and conflicts of each member of the squadron as they participate in a galaxy wide war to save our species and everything that is worth caring about.

The main tagline was: To lose the war means more than defeat, to surrender is to never go home. ALL of them must rise to the call: Above and Beyond!

In an effort to get West to help with an assassination plot, the young marine is told that high-ranking Earth officials knew about the aliens before the colonists were sent to the Vesta Colony. All the In Vitroes are given a test (influenced by the Voight-Kampff test in Blade Runner) to determine their loyalty.

International Broadcasts[]

In Norway, the series was given the name "Skvadron 58" (Squadron 58). In Sweden, its name was "Slaget om Tellus" (The Battle for Tellus). In Denmark, it was called "Rummet år 2063" (Space, year 2063). In Germany (during the first two times, the series was shown on VOX), France, Switzerland and Finland, it was called "Space 2063". In Croatia, it aired under the title Svemirski marinci (Space Marines) and in Hungary it was called "Űrháború 2063" (Space war 2063). In Spain and during the third time, the series was shown in Germany on ProSieben, the name was cut to just "Space" while in Poland it was given the title Gwiezdna eskadra (Star Squadron).
